The story\nasks the listener to come to terms with the idea of failure through the\nrealisation that it can be regarded as honourable; the price of success is\nalways the possibility of failure.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When Mr Gundolf was asked for the secret of his\nsuccess, he answered, \u201cBefore every new venture I weighed up the price of failure.\nI agreed with myself that this was the price I would pay if it came to it,\nwithout beating myself up.
