Seminar 5: Separating problems, connecting solutions – hypnosystemic communication?

Therapeutic modeling is a fast, safe, and radically effective form of hypnosystemic therapy (or awake hypnotherapy) in which...

  • the stressful experience is dissociated from the client and assigned to different seats,
  • the client is imagined as a person with the target experience in a different seat,
  • the client is identified with the target experience by moving to the target seat, and
  • the target experience is stabilized as the client's new identity experience.

Part of this form of therapy developed by Stefan Hammel involves closely observing and describing the client's nonverbal reactions in order to reinforce and stabilize the positive changes that occur, as well as a therapeutic dramaturgy in which increasingly positive expectations are generated. The result is a new form of individual, couple, and family therapy based on bodily experience and involuntary behavior. The approach is particularly suitable for bringing about good solutions in conflicts that are difficult to understand, chronic, and rapidly escalating.
